Glen Innes to host Rugged Bash drought relief event
Put down the tools, dust off your boots, and come along with the family to the “Rugged Bash” drought relief event on Saturday the 8th June in the Main Street of Glen Innes.
The Rugged Bash offers free entertainment designed to provide a respite for everyone in the local and wider community effected by the drought.
The event is funded through the Drought Communities Programme Extension. This Government initiative is designed to deliver benefits to drought-affected communities throughout Australia.
There will be plenty of fun-filled action, with the event running all day from 10am; with market stalls selling a variety of locally produced goods and free performances by local entertainers and guest stars throughout the day, including Tahnee Rose, Alex Mossman, Burnt Embers and Naomi & Jodie Bain.
There will be an appearance from well-known Australian comedian Vince Sorrenti, guest speaker Warren Davies, also known as ‘The Unbreakable Farmer’ will talk to Resilience, Persistence and Determination and the event will be topped with a Saturday night concert featuring 2014 XFactor Finalists Brothers3.

Vince Sorrenti – Bio:
Vince Sorrenti is overwhelmingly Australia’s most popular big event speaker, entertainer, and Master of Ceremonies. Vince’s loves and owns the stage. He has an infectious style and his material is fresh, insightful, irreverent, and very funny.
Vince’s decades long list of radio and television credits is far too long to list. Suffice to say he has done it all from Hey Hey It’s Saturday in the 1980s to Celebrity Apprentice, and Studio 10 today. He hosted his own show on MTV in the USA and has appeared in every genre of TV program from Sport to Cooking! In September 2018 he will premier as the Italy and France travel reporter on Channel 9’s new Hello World Travel Show.
Warren Davies – The Unbreakable Farmer – Bio:
Resilience, Persistence and Determination are the words to describe Warren Davies also he is a husband, father of 5, son, brother, mate, and normal bloke down the road.
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Warren was the son of small business owners. Mentored by one of the best farmers in the district, Warren honed his skills and, by the age of 22, he had purchased his first farm. This gave Warren an opportunity to reinvent himself. A direction, a career path: he was going to pursue his father’s dream of becoming a Farmer. Warren Davies is not just any average Farmer. There is more to this farmer than meets the eye. His eventful life has tested his Resilience, Persistence and Determination, had massive impact on his young family, relationships and finances and made Warren the Farmer he is today – The Unbreakable Farmer.
Brothers3 – Bio:
Makirum, Tayzin and Shardyn, three farm boys from Mudgee, made their musical debut at the ages of 10, 11, and 12 years old respectively, delighting crowds with their unique sibling harmonies and instrumental skills.
The dynamic trio won the hearts of Australia when they placed third on Xfactor in 2014 and after the show had success with their single The Lucky Ones.
In 2015 they released their second single Brothers Never Part, and this was followed by their new studio album of the same name on January 15, 2016. The album placed at #11 on the Aria Charts, as well as #1 on the Country Aria Charts and #2 on the Australian Aria Charts.
